Upwardly Mobile


A shot taken early yesterday morning on a visit to the County Hall. An amazing view of Cork City from the top and the iPhone did quite a remarkable job in its attempt of capturing it through that very small lens…!

Unusual views


It was a stunning day with an uncharacteristically blue sky – for Ireland. I drove passed a not too unfamiliar sight – the ugly pylons. As I had a little spare time and thought I might get the phone out to test it’s ability against the giant steel frame of the pylon. I thought that maybe the giant would disable all the mighty midgets functions, including the camera, but to my delight we came away intact and with a photograph of an unusual view.

… I mean horizontal image upload blogging …!!!

The two, actually three, spires you can see in the back, just managing to pierce the horizon, are those belonging to St. Finbarr’s Cathedral. The iPhone has an incredibly impressive camera – especially when you consider the extremely small lens. To see more of my work and what the iPhone can achieve, keep watching this space…
